Please be aware that this is a small Montana airport and even though it now has direct flights from most major cities, it does not have the same amenities as a large metropolitan airport. You will need to make arrangements, whether by shuttle or rental car, to get to the resort and you need to do it prior to your arrival. The resort is about 50 miles from the airport and is an easy and beautiful drive through the mountains. You will love the scenery and tranquility, but only if you have prepared ahead. Karst Stage had agreed to give festival attendees a special rate, so make your reservations at the same time you book your airline tickets for trouble-free shuttle arrival at the festival. They have special flight rates on the major airlines for people coming to Montana for recreation purposes, so you might want to check with them before you book your flights to see if they can get you better prices. Be sure to tell them you are coming for the harp festival. They can also help you plan any recreational activities (rafting, horseback riding, fishing, etc.) in the area if you or your companions are interested in making your trip a true Montana vacation.
Ground Transportation: Karst Stage will be providing shuttle service for the Big Sky Folk Harp Festival at the Big Sky Resort, Montana. Their counter is conveniently located inside the passenger terminal just beyond baggage claim. Karst Stage serves all arriving and departing flights at Gallatin Field (Bozeman) Airport seven days a week, although they do not have a shuttle departing after every arriving flight. In order to offer a special conference rate a wait of thirty to forty-five minutes may be necessary in some cases. . The rate for BSFHF will be $75.00/person round trip or $45.00/person one-way if arriving on 6/30 or 7/1 and departing on 7/5 or 7/6. There is also a $1.50/person airport tax for all shuttles leaving the airport. Shuttles will be available for those arriving before, arriving or departing during and departing after the guaranteed dates at a higher rate based upon the number in the party. To qualify for the conference rate be sure to choose BSFHF from the Conference drop down box on the online reservation form. All online reservations will be confirmed by email. It is recommended that you print your confirmation letter, read it carefully for accuracy and take it with you when you travel. Please take their toll free telephone number with you when you travel and call them if you encounter a delay or cancellation. Check in at the Karst Stage counter immediately (before claiming your luggage) upon arrival at the airport. You will be issued a return ticket when you check-in with your pick-up date, time and location. Big Sky is 53 miles from the airport and the drive will take approximately one hour and fifteen-minutes. Your return shuttle will be scheduled to get you to the Bozeman Airport approximately 1½ hours before your flight departs.
